Actionable Issues
Parents Have a Right to Know
Craig Holiday supports parental notification because parents should never be kept in the dark about important matters affecting their children at school. Parents are a child’s first and most important advocates, and schools should work with families — not around them.
Craig supports a clear parental notification policy and will fight to ensure parents are informed and involved when significant issues concerning their children arise.
Craig is the only candidate in Trustee Area 2 who supports a parental notification policy.
Where Does Michelle Murphy Stand?
Michelle Murphy believes the school, not the parent, knows what is best for your child — even keeping important personal matters from parents so students “feel safer.” Don’t take our word for it. Hear it in her own words.

Fiscal Transparency
It is essential that we ensure our hard-earned tax dollars are effectively utilized to equip our students with the skills and wisdom they need for success.
Safety
Law professionals play a crucial role in our schools; they create a safe environment where our students can thrive.
Skills
Our focus must be on developing skills rather than ideologies. Engaging our families, businesses and community leaders for insights is imperative to adapt to our ever-changing world.
Distraction
To foster effective learning, we must minimize irrelevant and distracting screen time during school hours.
Health
While we are committed to providing our students with nutritious food, we must also ensure that it is healthy. Unhealthy children struggle to learn. With our community’s rich culinary heritage, it is our local experts, not bureaucrats, who can create the best meals within our budget.
